The single-day America First Energy Conference has been hosted in in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, featuring panels such as “Why CO2 Emissions Are Not Creating A Climate Crisis”. The conference was attended by a small number of Trump administration officials who avoided commenting on the more controversial topics, according to the report by Reuters. Organised by conservative think tank the Heartland Institute and being run for the second year, some of the themes of the conference were that a “deep state” within the US is anti-fossil fuel, and that there should be less regulation of the oil, gas and coal industries. Somewhat ironically, Louisiana is one of the US states most affected by sea level rises.
