Air Products has unveiled new oxy-fuel combustion technology for glass manufacturing at the China Glass 2019 conference in Beijing. The new Cleanfire HRx burner enables control of the magnitude and location of oxygen staging for up to 95% of the combustion oxygen, according to the company, producing 40% lower NOx than the previous editions of the burner, and being more highly fuel efficient. The company used the China Glass conference for its launch as more stringent environmental regulations will push Chinese manufacturers to look for cleaner burners.
