In the BRISK initiative SINTEF Materials and Chemistry will open up facilities for research and development for researchers associated to the BRISK consortium. The virtual laboratory consists of facilities for thermochemical (Trondheim and Oslo) conversion. The SINTEF Biorefinery laboratories are operated and partly shared with NTNU departments for joint research and development in privately and publically funded research projects, further recruitment to industries and research through joint education at master and PhD level is performed. Projects performed are directed towards cost effective, robust and sustainable biorefinery conversion processes.
