IFRF announces its 40th IFRF Topic Oriented Technical Meeting “Biomass Gasification – an industrial approach” which takes places in Gothenberg Sweden on April 8th and 9th 2014.
The meeting will focus on the gasification of biomass for energy production and biofuels in Europe and will explore some of the key challenges inherent to power and biofuels production in the European gasification landscape. The proceedings will be chaired by Professor Lars Stromberg and animated primarily by organisations active in the EU funded project BRISK – “Biofuels Research Infrastructure for Sharing Knowledge” in which IFRF is also a partner.
The major themes to be covered include
- Status of biomass gasification in Europe
- Fundamental aspects of Biomass Gasification Gas Clean up
- Evolution of Gasification Technology
- The BRISK project – Advanced Gasification practices
Each area will be introduced by an expert keynote speaker. A case study of the Gothenburg Biomass Gasification Project, GoBiGas is also envisaged and will comprise a full presentation and a half day site visit.
The one and a half day meeting will also provide opportunities for delegates to showcase their current activities by means of posters. Abstracts are warmly invited. More detail appears on the IFRF Events Calendar in the First Announcement and Call for Poster Abstracts.
