Zaragoza Workshops
In September, two workshops will be offered by the University of Zaratoga in collaboration with University of Twente and ANSYS:
Thermo-acoustic instabilities in syngas combustors – 6 and 7 September and Numerical Analysis of acoustic phenomena in combustors – 9 and 10 September.
The two workshops are offered as part of the LIMOUSINE project, a Marie Curie FP7 initiative financed by the EU.
TOTeM 34
Proposals of poster presentations are now invited for TOTeM 34 – “Gas Turbine Research: Fuels, Combustion, Heat Transfer and Emissions” which has been rearranged for 20th October 2010 at Cardiff University and 21 October at the Gas Turbine Research Centre (GTRC), Port Talbot, Wales UK. Registration is now in progress and the necessary forms, including the Call for Poster Presentations can be downloaded from the above link on the IFRF Events Calendar.
Those whose Poster Presentations were accepted in the originally planned TOTeM programme will shortly be approached to check whether they will still be in a position to present their originally proposed poster in the new session, or indeed an updated version reflecting further progress made.
Interested parties who have not yet made a proposal are warmly invited to do so. The deadline for submission is Friday 1 October.
TOTeM 35
Registration is now open for TOTeM 35 – “Co-firing secondary fuels in power generation: from fuel characterization to full scale testing” which takes place on 23 and 24 September in Pisa. Delegates are invited to register as soon as possible and in any case not later than 13 September. Hotel accommodation is being held at the venue only until 28 August. The registration form and an update of the First Announcement can be accessed at the above link.
TOTeM 36 and the AFRC Pacific Rim Combustion Symposium
An important addition has been made to the programme for TOTeM 36 – “Industrial Flares” which follows on immediately from the AFRC Pacific Rim Combustion Symposium on 30 September and 1 October at the Sheraton Maui, Hawaii. The revised agenda is available at the above link and now includes an address by Scott Evans of Clean Air Engineering entitled “Lessons learned from USDOJ/USEPA, Regulation by Enforced Settlement Decree imposed Flare Field Tests.”
Both TOTeM 36 and the AFRC Pacific Rim Combustion Symposium offer an Early Bird discount to delegates who register before 9 August. Delegates should also note that the group rate which has been negotiated with the hotel cannot be guaranteed after 27 August. All information and forms can be found on the respective links.
