A visiting researcher position is available at the Systems Engineering Laboratory in the Department of Process and Environmental Engineering, University of Oulu, Finland.  The position has come about as a result of the NOCOBI (Novel ways for combustion of biomasses) project and will be available until the end of 2012.

NOCOBI is a four year joint project between SYTE, Mass and Heat Transfer Laboratory, and the University of Oulu Department of Chemistry, and is funded by the Academy of Finland.  The main goal of the project is to develop advanced new monitoring and control methods in order to avoid fouling and slagging in biomass boilers by utilizing modeling and novel measurement methods.
