Summary
Welcome to the IFRF 2018 Conference! The International Flame Research Foundation is celebrating its landmark 70th anniversary this year and is delighted that were able to join the festivities.
You are currently in the historic Sheffield Town Hall, which is close to the new headquarters of IFRF, in a world-renowned centre for steelmaking and high-temperature industries reliant on combustion and related processes.
The theme of this conference - ‘Clean, efficient and safe industrial combustion’ -echoes the objectives of IFRF and has relevance across a wide range of industrial sectors and research areas. As such, the content of the conference is of interest to delegates from industry and academia around the world.
Over the next two days enjoy a combination of Plenary Sessions (with keynote speakers, discussions and other activities), Parallel Sessions related to major topics/sectors, a Poster Session and a Sponsors Exhibition throughout the event (head to the Council Chamber to meet them). You are also invited to attend the Gala Dinner on the evening of 30th May to celebrate IFRF's Platinum Anniversary at ‘Magna’ (a themed venue in an old steel mill).
