• RJM International announces new business wins across waste-to-energy, alternative coal-to-biomass conversions and biomass-fired plant, confirming its green fuels credentials in this growing sector

RJM International, the award-winning provider of innovative emissions reduction technology and equipment to the power generation and large combustion plant sectors worldwide, announces today that it has won two new European projects.

Both require RJM to apply its world-class expertise in resolving complex emissions and combustion challenges that can arise when firing biomass or when plants introduce new fuels to their fuel diet.

These new business wins follow on from RJM being awarded the FEED contract in Wales at Uskmouth Power Station by SIMEC Atlantis Energy Limited in November 2018, for the world’s first conversion of a coal-fired power plant to run on waste-derived energy pellets.

In the Netherlands, RJM has been appointed by Bio Energie Centrale Cuijk (BECC) to help resolve various combustion issues. This 80MW biomass fluidised bed boiler, firing a mix of fresh wood chips and waste wood generates green electricity for the grid. The initial study has now been widened by BECC into a more extensive project.

RJM has also been appointed by a European power producer to carry out a feasibility study for a coal-to-biomass conversion at one of its large utility plants.  It will focus on evaluating the efficiency and emissions implications as well as the requirements of the Renewable Energy Directive and the Industrial Emissions Directive.
